The United States of America. One of the most highly developed countries in the world. When given with this stereotype, many imagine almost all Americans to be living in large cities, such as New York, or Los Angeles. Just like it would be unfair to assume that everyone in France lives in Paris, or that every one in England lives in London, it would be unfair to assume that all Americans live in large cities as well.
We might live in a capitalist economy, but that does not mean to say that we are all in a greedy materialistic shell (Sadly). There is still a black hole that does exist in North America. It exists in the Southern United States, called the Bible Belt.
Those who live here were genetically created by a united front of Protestant and Catholic churches to live in the underbelly of America. There to oppose all Liberal change. There to still promote the word of the Lord. There to remind everyone of their place.
For those of you who are having trouble understanding the above paragraph, here is a hint: That was sarcasm.
It was also a stereotype. I have been living in the Bible Belt for a good portion of my life, and have eventually learned that by now, not everyone here is a Bible Thumper. Christian, yes. But not with a Capital C. My Point
It is my message to spread the truth. So I have created this website to enlighten those that live in the big cities I have mentioned in the first few paragraphs. To show that the Bible Belt is actually a home to more then the Evangelists. To show you how the other half lives.
So onto you, I do bid you to enter "Not Christian with a Capital C." Maybe you'll learn a few things. |
